A buttery, sweet, and slightly crumbly base, this graham cracker crust is the perfect foundation for cheesecakes, pies, and tarts. This quick and easy crust comes together in minutes and is made with crushed graham crackers, melted butter, brown sugar, and a touch of cinnamon.

Ingredients

1.5 cups graham crackers, 160 grams

1/3 cup light brown sugar, 75 grams

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, 75 grams

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°.
  2. Combine graham crackers, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl and stir.
  3. Melt the butter and add to the bowl. Stir until it resembles beach sand, then put into a 9″ pie. Shape the crust with a spoon or measuring cup so it is smooth and firmly packed in the corners.
  4. Bake for 8 minutes.
  5. Cool completely on the countertop for at least 30 minutes.

Notes

Flavored Crackers: Graham Crackers come in various flavors that might work better with your recipe, so you might want to get cinnamon or honey flavored, depending on your recipe. In that case, adjust or eliminate the cinnamon in the recipe.

Make Ahead: You can make the crust ahead of time and freeze it or keep it in the fridge for a few days.
