what's so special

Homemade whipped cream tastes like a little bit of heaven! It’s perfect on top of ice cream with some Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce, and if you invest in a piping kit, your desserts will rise to another level. Here are some examples of fancy piping – Creamy Blueberry Cheesecake PieΒ and Authentic Florida Key Lime Pie

Ingredients and Substitutions

There are only three ingredients that are easy to keep on hand.Β

Heavy Whipping Cream

Powdered Sugar

Pure Vanilla Extract

It’s essential to use the real deal, not artificially flavored vanilla extract.

How to Make

If you happen to have a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, then add all of the ingredients to a bowl with the whisk attachment and beat on low, raising the speed as the cream starts to solidify. Let it go for a few minutes until you have peaks.

If you forget about it and go too far, you will have butter, so you need to stay focused.

If you do not have a stand mixer, then you can use a hand-held mixer and achieve the same result.

Hi! I'm Liz

Welcome to The Key Lime Kitchen!Β

Thanks for stopping byβ€”I can’t wait to bring a little coastal inspiration to your kitchen!Β

I live in South Florida with my husband, Joe, and a needy boxer named Jessie. We have three mostly grown children who have their own needy dogs, so it is chaotic at times, but we gather around food, and here are our favorite recipes.
